Brief Information About Penrith TaeKwon-Do School
Beaconside Primary School has been home to Penrith TaeKwon-Do School since 2002, when its original and current instructor, Mr. Ian Rigg (4th Degree), formed the school. Since then Penrith TaeKwon-Do School has grown from strength to strength and today it has over 75 students enrolled in various stages of the program.
All our instructors and assistant instructors are criminal background checked, fully insured, first aid trained, and nationally and internationally qualified.
We are part of the TaeKwon-Do Association of England (TAE). The TAE are in constant communication with the rest of the world, keeping up to date in all technical and sporting affairs. The TAE has schools all across the North of England and to ensure the highest quality of tuition is given to the students, the TAE is run by a Board of Directors. Their experience is passed down through the many classes that are available to TAE students. The TAE encourage instructors and students to travel to gain knowledge and experience for the benefit of the TAE. For those who cannot afford to travel, the TAE provide seminars by prominent international instructors from other countries and around the U.K.
We are affiliated to the International TaeKwon-Do Federation (ITF) and the All Europe Tae Kwon Do Federation (AETF). The International Tae Kwon Do Federation is the World Governing body for Tae Kwon Do. Founded by General Choi, its headquarters are in Vienna, Austria. The ITF is divided into continental bodies. The All Europe Tae Kwon Do Federation is responsible for European Events.
