We offer appropriate programmes for all ages and abilities as follows:
Little Ninjas age 5-7 years.
Our specialised Little Ninjas Programme is a detailed curriculum that focuses on improving a young child’s basic motor and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. Our programme will enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way.
The Little Ninjas Programme will also prepare your child for our Junior Martial Arts Programme. In the Little Ninja classes, your child will be exposed to positive social interaction. They will learn how to work with others and follow directions from their instructors. Our Little Ninja Instructors are good role models who are trained specifically to work with young children.
The Little Ninjas Programme consists of developing 8 major skills that are necessary for participation in any sport or activity. The programme also contains 8 personal development skills that are used to reinforce family values. Life skills such as coordination, concentration, teamwork and self-control are taught alongside an introduction to the basics of TaeKwon-Do.
Junior Dragons age 8-12 years.
Our juniors programme offers a thorough grounding in TaeKwon-Do, while continuing to focus on teamwork, discipline and respect for others. The skills taught at this and previous levels help children to develop confidence in their own abilities, enabling them to become better students at school, better listeners at home and feel more ambitious towards his or her future goals. As well as learning traditional TaeKwon-Do in a fun and dynamic way, our students also have the opportunity to participate in competitions at this level. Emphasis is also put on core self-defence skills and anti-abduction strategies (stranger danger).
Traditional TaeKwon-Do age 13 and above.
At this stage we offer a more traditional approach to the the study of TaeKwon-Do, as well as providing students with a place to train away from the pressures and stresses of modern society. The tenents of TaeKwon-Do (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit) are studied in more depth as well as the continued promotion and development of awareness, confidence, flexibility, fitness and relaxation.
1:1 or Small Group (no more than 4) Personal Instruction
Apprehensive about coming to a martial arts class, or generally just prefer the more personal approach? You may want to improve your level of fitness, develop self-confidence, learn an effective form of self-defence or go through the grading syllabus to achieve your black belt.
You could be an existing student who would like more one to one attention in preparation for a grading or competition, or someone who has a busy schedule and can’t make regular class times. Your training plan will be designed to meet your individual needs and will be monitored accordingly. There will only be scope to take on a small number of 1:1 students so it would be best to call asap as these classes are due to begin in January.
